I'm Denisa, the heart and hands behind Atelier Denisa.
For me, creating has never been only about making something beautiful. It is how I process the world around me, hold on to memories, explore feelings and give form to things that sometimes don't have words.
Art has followed me through different chapters of my life. Through change, love, loss, motherhood, new beginnings and all the ordinary little moments in between.
Atelier Denisa grew from that part of me: the part that keeps creating, feeling, wondering and finding beauty in unexpected places.
And I'm so happy you're here.
A little about me
I have always carried a creative world inside me.
I draw, paint, write, experiment and occasionally start creating something without having the slightest idea where it will end up.
I find inspiration in nature, in people, in emotions, in stories and in those tiny everyday moments that are easy to overlook.
I love poetry, getting lost in a book, being surrounded by nature, discovering new places and finding a little magic in the ordinary.
And I'm also a mum to a little artist of my own, who reminds me that creativity doesn't need to be perfect to be wonderful.
I'm curious by nature. I love learning, trying new things and following an idea simply because something inside me says, let's see where this goes.
Atelier Denisa is where all those pieces of me get to meet.
What inspires me
Life itself.
The people I meet.
The emotions we carry.
Nature.
Memories.
Dreams.
Stories.
Words and poetry.
And those tiny moments that somehow stay with us.
Sometimes inspiration comes from something right in front of me: a flower, a conversation, a place, a colour, a feeling.
Other times, it begins with something I can't quite explain yet.
That's one of the things I love most about art. It gives shape to the intangible. Something you can see, touch, keep, or perhaps recognise a little piece of yourself in.
Why Atelier Denisa exists
For a long time, creativity was something I carried quietly alongside the rest of my life. But dreams have a funny habit of waiting for us.
Atelier Denisa is me finally giving that dream a place to grow.
A place where I can create freely, experiment, learn and share what I make with others. But also a place where creativity can bring people together, whether through a piece of art, a handmade card, a commission or simply sitting around a table and creating together.
I don't want Atelier Denisa to become a factory of perfectly identical things. I want it to remain human. Personal. Curious. A little imperfect. And full of meaning.
More than creations
That phrase means something to me.
Because what I hope to create here goes beyond paintings, cards, bookmarks or workshops.
Maybe something I make becomes part of someone's home.
Maybe a card carries words that were difficult to say.
Maybe a personalised piece holds a memory.
Maybe someone comes to a workshop convinced they aren't creative and leaves having surprised themselves.
Those are the connections I care about.
The creation is only where they begin.
A little bit of magic
No, I don't mean everything has to sparkle. ✦
To me, magic lives in the ordinary things we almost overlook.
A colour that brings back a memory.
An unexpected idea appearing on an empty page.
Paint on your fingers.
Finding beauty somewhere you weren't looking for it.
Giving someone something that was made specifically for them.
Creating something today that didn't exist yesterday.
That's my kind of magic.
And this is only the beginning
Atelier Denisa is still growing, and so am I.
There will be new creations, experiments, workshops, ideas that work beautifully and probably a few that don't. And that's okay.
I don't know exactly what every chapter will look like yet.
And I think that's part of the beauty of it.
